Been busy as ever here, writing up proposals for new cardealerships in the area that have been contacting us. We’ve also been writing up new commercials for our next trip to the Carolina’s. Love you guys and all but I just don’t have the time to keep up with the blogs, so I’m turning the torch over to my girl Heather.  From now on, my chick will be keepin you guys posted on all I.T.Z. ’s jobs, activities, current events & basically our take over & rise to the top of the video production industry!!! Chuck here, we got good news yesterday from a network called RIPE
TV, they’re an “In Demand” network in 30 million homes. They’re
interested in our reality show V8 Muscle Bikes, where our V8 guys take
V8 car engines out of muscle cars and shove them into motorcycles. The Network
wants to air our first 8 shows we shot and take it from there. We’ve
been down this road before and are hoping this deal goes through, To

Anyway, I will be on hiatus for a little while, but there will be a guest writer in the estrogen house.

Chuck will be writing the posts which will prove quite interesting since, as you know, he’s a testosterone source. So I guess you could say that The Estrogen Zone will temporarily be known as The Testosterone Zone.   Does that mean that this blog has technically undergone a sex change?  Wow - I never thought I’d live long enough to see the day…

Now while Chuck has never blogged before and his paragraphs probably won’t be as neatly justified like mine and he’ll probably forget to include tags, he’s as funny as watching a dog scoot his ass along the carpet and I know you’ll just love him. He’s a naturally funny and lovable character and I’m sure you’ll see his unique personality shine through his posts.

I will, however, be popping in from time to time busting Chuck’s balls (his suggestion, not mine although I am looking forward to it) so I’m not totally going away. I guess you could say that I’m like a bad case of the Herps - I just keep coming back no matter how much you may want me to leave…

I just set up my own personal blog the other day, My Daily Five, which I’ve been meaning to do for quite some time now. So if you find yourself awake in the middle of the night and have some inexplicable desire to read some of my entertaining muses, just mosey on over there. Who knows? It might actually help you get back to sleep.

Well, I’m just rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and trying to wake my ass up. I realize it’s only an hour’s difference, but my body clock is still on Florida time. What a rough life, right? I know!

The Dark Knight Gala at Navy Pier was exciting. I arrived by cab at about 5:50 p.m. but I had to get out and walk a bit since security was tight and they weren’t letting any cars go down the street that’s right in front of Navy Pier. Now let me tell you, that’s quite an interesting experience when you’re the only one walking in a long, black dress with 4 inch heels in a sea of people wearing shorts and sneaks. Can you say “stuck out like a sore thumb?”

I didn’t get to see Christopher Nolan, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine walk the red carpet since I had to go inside to the makeshift Will Call to pick up my ticket. The energy inside the theater was pretty awesome though - thick enough to cut with a butcher knife. Just that feeling alone was worth paying $450 for my ticket.

Nolan and his wife were very fashionably late. The tribute to him was supposed to start at 6:30 p.m., but didn’t get started until some time after 7 p.m. I don’t blame them though - they were probably at their posh hotel pretending to jump into the boatload of dough they’re going to make after this weekend’s opening. I’m predicting U.S. sales of over $250M. What are your predictions?

This guy was dressed as The Joker sitting behind me, and there was a skinny little man (maybe 2 inches taller than me and I’m 5′1″) dressed as Batman that sat next to me at the dinner in the Crystal Ballroom. There always have to be a few screwballs added to the mix.

Unfortunately, Mr. Bale was a no-show. That was a bit disappointing - for a lot of people. I figured he’d be making his way over to the event since he did the New York premiere on Monday and his wife, Sibi, is from Chicago. Plus, he’s always talked about his admiration for Chris Nolan. Oh well (insert big schoolgirl sigh here). Shit happens.

Bill Curtis (the A&E voiceover guy and a staple in Chicago’s history) introduced Nolan, Oldman and Caine to the crowd in the IMAX theater and then there was a 10 minute montage of Nolan’s work featuring actors gushing about working with him (Bale included). That was pretty neat. I totally forgot Nolan did Insomnia. Then, the big moment arrived - they played The Dark Knight. It was actually nice to not have to sit through 15 minutes of bullshit trailers - we got right to the movie. No foreplay - sweet.

I don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone, so I’ll just say that the opening scene is amazing and will grab your attention right away (sign of a great movie), and a couple of surprising people die. One is surprising because of who it is, the other is surprising because of the way that person dies and by whose hands.

I’ll write some more posts later today. I have some very important shopping to do on the Magnificent Mile …

Anyway, I’m currently packing for my trip to Chicago to attend the freakin’ Dark Knight Gala!!! I leave tomorrow morning and the red carpet premiere starts at 5:30 p.m. I read that the Tumbler and the Bat Pod will be showcased at Navy Pier (where the Gala is being held), so that’s gonna be super cool. I’m bringing my trusty camera with me so be on the lookout for some exclusive photos.

I’ve also been told that cast members and friends of the director, Chris Nolan, will be there so security is going to be tight. I wonder if a certain Mr. Bale will be in attendance - Jesus - I can now die a happy woman if he shows up. And yes - I do realize I sound like a schoolgirl with a silly crush, but you’re just gonna have to deal with it. At least for the next 2 days, anyway.

I’m also super excited to see the Chicago premiere of the movie at the IMAX theater. The thought of seeing Mr. Bale on a screen half the size of a football field is almost too much for me to handle right now.

Let’s just say that God knew what she was doing when Bale was created.

And so the countdown to peace and quiet and my temporary sanity begins …

I’ve been keeping close watch of TDK Gala tickets on eBay for a few weeks now, and let me tell ya. Those suckers were going for some big $$$. Mind you, the face value of each ticket is $150 and these things were selling for over $1,000 per pair!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I was prepared to spend almost $650 for a pair, and right when I was entering my bid, there was a freakin’ glitch with eBay (it’s not the first time this has happened to me - I’m smelling a conspiracy here) and I missed out. I was so pissed! But - even though I fell off the proverbial horse, I dusted myself off and got right back into the eBay saddle again.

However, I began to get a little nervous after watching eBay for a few days because no new ticket listings appeared. Was my window of opportunity gone? Oh, despair! Then one day last week, I noticed 1 new ticket popped up for auction. I watched that little sucker like a hawk watches its prey - hoping that a bidder makes a mistake so I can swoop in for the kill.

On Tuesday, my little Firefox eBay tool (which kicks ass, by the way) popped up on my laptop screen to let me know that 18 minutes were left in the auction. The price was up to $501. Geez - that’s a crapload of money for me to spend, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime deal. I waited until the final minute and put my ceiling price of $651 in there and waited for what seemed to be an eternity.

I couldn’t stand the agony of the wait anymore, so I went to talk to Clark about something that I’m sure was much less important than the matter at hand. When I returned to my computer, I was prepared to see the ominous “You have been outbid” message that eBay loves to tease me with.

But lo and behold, I was the winner!!! And I won the damned thing for $511!!! I let out a really loud shriek (thank God The Boys are in NC right now) and told Clark that I was so excited that I could crap my pants. He politely requested that if I needed to do that, would I mind using Seth’s bathroom.

So I am now the proud winner of 1 ticket to attend The Dark Knight Gala in Chicago on July 16th, and I can’t freakin’ wait!

God, I hate when this happens.
